gmCSIRT is The Gambia National Computer Security and Incident Response Team. gmCSIRT provides advice and support on cyber threats and vulnerabilities to the owners and operators of The Gambia’s critical information infrastructure (CII) and other systems of national interest.

 

gmCSIRT’s cyber security mission is supported by the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority and the Ministry of Information and Communication Infrastructure.  It was established as part of the critical enablers embedded in the Gambia’s National Development Plan (NDP).  We take the lead in ensuring intelligence and secure ICT ecosystem, with an aim of being a center of cyber security excellence. We lead the Gambia Government’s efforts to improve cyber security to make The Gambia a very secure and digitally advanced place to connect online.

To be the single and the most trusted point of contact for Information Security in The Gambia.

To protect Information Technology users in the Public and Private Sector Organizations and the General Public by providing up-to-date information on potential threats and vulnerabilities and by undertaking computer emergency response handling services.

To Act as the most authoritative national source for all ICT security related issues across the nation.

Link with other CERTS and CSIRTS around the world to share the knowledge and know-how relating to Information Security.
